Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraisers
A murder mystery dinner theater fundraiser is a fun way to raise funds. Here's how to host a murder mystery as a fundraising event. First, you need a location and that choice is critical to your success.

Your location must combine good food with exclusive use of the facility because your theater performance takes place in acts divided by dinner courses. You don't want other restaurant patrons coming and going during the critical scenes, so it's best to book a reserved dining room at an inn or a large restaurant.

Make sure the room seats a large enough crowd to actually produce a good profit. Negotiate a flat group rate that includes dinner and dessert. Check and see if there are deals that include wine with dinner or if there's a corkage fee if they bring their own bottle.
Murder Mystery Party
Murder Mystery Party for some Crime-Solving Fun combined with a Birthday Celebration! This unique party idea is also a very popular party theme in October...when everyone is looking for good Halloween party ideas! With the popularity of crime scene investigation shows such as CSI these days, it's no wonder that many people fantasize of becoming forensic scientists themselves. It has been called the CSI effect! However, you can relieve the exciting tasks of forensic scientists through role playing. With role playing, you get to experience more or less the thrill of investigating a crime and the crime scene, without the hitch should you make a wrong move.
Murder Mystery Games
You're gathered in a room with about a dozen or so people. Your host enters, welcomes you and tells you that by the end of this evening, one of you will be guilty of a murder. Welcome to the world of the murder mystery game. If you've never had the pleasure of participating in one of these things then you really don't know what you're missing. Hosting murder mysteries has been a big thing all over the world for over 30 years now. Hopefully, after reading this, you'll have a pretty good idea of what to expect should you ever get invited to one.
Ah, yes. The invitation. That's where murder mystery games start, with the invite. Normally you'll received a very fancy looking envelope in the mail. When you open it, you'll read something like, "You are cordially invited to attend a murder mystery at.. ." and then you'll be given the address, date and time and the name of the person hosting it. Normally about a dozen or so invitations will go out, depending on how elaborate the mystery is. Sometimes these will be hosted at somebody's home but many times they are hosted at hotels or even on boats. Yes, a lot of work goes into these games.
